Treo has been appointed to manage the Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS) project of a Tier 1 open cast mine in South Africa. The project has entailed the selection of a CAS vendor, development of project plans and schedules, engagement with all stakeholders including mine personnel, the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) and vendors. Focus areas have included the installation and commissioning of a Level 9 CAS system, cost and schedule control and assistance with training programs.
